Peace Action New Mexico is a financially independent Affiliate of the national organization. Formed in 1998 in the birthplace of the nuclear nightmare, we are committed to abolishing nuclear weapons and all weapons of mass destruction, redirecting excessive military expenditures to domestic investment, ending global weapons trafficking, preventing the erosion of civil liberties both in this country and elsewhere, preventing the militarization of space, and fostering non-military solutions to international conflicts. A grassroots, member-supported not-for-profit organization, our members, volunteers and dedicated staff represent the state's economic, racial, and ethnic diversity and work at local, state, national, and international levels for a more peaceful world.
