The New Mexico Network for Nonviolent Communication is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Our purpose is to promote, sponsor and implement educational activities related to Nonviolent Communication, a process developed by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D. The objective of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is to establish relationships based on empathy and honesty by utilizing specific communication skills taught in a variety of formats. The purpose of NVC is to help us connect with ourselves and each other in a way that leads to the peaceful resolution of conflict. The communication skills of NVC foster deep listening, respect, and empathy and engender a mutual desire to give from the heart. Worldwide, NVC is used to mediate disputes and conflicts at all levels.
