NM Coalition to Repeal the Death Penalty
The NM Coalition to Repeal the Death Penalty is a statewide organization whose sole focus is to repeal the death penalty. The Coalition, formed in 1997, is made up of organizations and individuals across the state, including former law enforcement officers, families of murder victims, faith leaders, social workers, students, business owners, activists, educators, and lawyers. More than 50 organizations participate in the work of the Coalition. We work to educate the public about the facts and figures of death penalty, develop resources for students, individuals and organizations, co-sponsor statewide conferences on the death penalty, and work on legislation that will repeal the death penalty in NM.
