Inspired by God's call to reconciliation in diversity, we are churches joined together seeking healing, justice, unity and peace through active ministries. Recently, the NMCC Global Warming Conference Launched the New Mexico Sustainable Energy Campaign! On November 7 - 8, 2003, over 150 people of faith, public interest advocates and policymakers met in Albuquerque to discuss global warming, what it means to New Mexico and how we can get our state energy policy on the track toward energy sustainability. The major thread that ran throughout the conference was that the debate is over -- the scientific consensus is that human caused global warming is accelerating and, right now, creating harm which will only increase in the future. We must answer the moral and ethical imperative to do something about it. Future generations deserve and should expect nothing less. Sustainable Energy. Clean. Efficient. Renewable. It's Time. Visit our website or call us to get involved.
