- 2) providing concrete, sustainable benefits to the communities involved through tribe-directed projects;
- 3) supporting students and host communities to engage in meaningful cultural exchange, beyond culural compentency, and;
- 4) empowering American Indian youth through mentorship and leadership training.
In 2008, NHI-NM was started, and we have primarily focused on youth empowerment in these last 8 months. We are always looking for students, community members, organizations, and tribal communities who want to get involved, including internships during the school year and our summer internships.
