Peace and Justice Organizations Linking Arms (PAJOLA)
Information

updated 4/3/08 - svd. pajola

The Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice provides space for nonprofit groups working on peace and justice issues to network with one another and support each other's work.

PAJOLA memberships allow us to provide low cost space where groups and individuals can hold meetings and events, and have a box for mail and messages. PAJOLA members also support us in initiating new projects and maintaining important ongoing services such as our monthly newsletter/calendar featuring local events and campaigns, our lending video and print libraries, and community outreach programs.

PAJOLA members' organizational name and contact information is listed monthly in our newsletter and yearly, with more detail about your work and how people can get involved, in a directory of PAJOLA member groups.

On our Web site, we include a page for each PAJOLA member, with contact and organizational information and links to your own page, when applicable. Please send information about your organization directly to our web volunteer: Web@abqPeaceAndJustice.org . Please update this information as needed - no less than once a year.

We have Grassroots New Mexico, a four-minute calendar of local actions and events that airs Wednesdays at 3:55 pm on 89.9 KUNM (right before Democracy Now!). This project helps us better share your and our work with the community. To announce an event, send a brief 3 sentences (describing who, what, when, & where) to grassrootsnm@abqPeaceAndJustice.org or bring us a copy by Monday morning!

PAJOLA members are invited to join at two basic levels:
  • $100/year includes support of all of the above, plus entitles your group to use the Peace Hall to hold one meeting per month.

  • $50/year includes support of all of the above, but the group contributes an extra donation for use of the Peace Hall.
PAJOLA members are invited to meet at P&J two times a year to network with other groups and plan joint activities. Potluck meetings are at 6 pm, on the 3rd Tuesday in January and July 2008. Please bring your ideas and a dish to share. Give Mary a call if you have any questions. See you soon and thank you!

Your membership in PAJOLA allows us to work together for peace and justice!
