November 2009 Newsletter Contents Consider Joining P&J's Coordinating Council! and In Memory of Patricia Dolan Membership Application	Consider Joining P&J's Coordinating Council! At our annual meeting last spring, members voted to change the policy for bringing new individuals onto our coordinating council (board). This change makes our method more consistent with other nonprofits' procedures and broadens the opportunity for new persons to become involved in thinking through the many decisions we make to keep our P&J center strong, focused, and financially solvent. Any interested ACPJ member who has a history of commitment to peace and justice is asked to submit his or her name and a brief bio by January 15, 2010.These will be published in our February newsletter. Members will be asked to vote by February 28 on their choices for 2010. We will present our CC members at the annual membership meeting in March. CC meetings are once a month. We use a consensus process to fully consider the input of each person, and we start with a potluck so that all get nourishment. Current CC members will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Consider taking your turn at this part of being an involved ACPJ member and furthering our work in the community.              Thank you! In Memory of Patricia Dolan It saddens us to let people know that Pat Dolan, long time friend and member of the ACP&J, a beautiful and sweet soul among us, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. She died peacefully, and is now free of the pain of her illness. Pat was a kind, generous person and dedicated activist that recorded many events and demos with her camera and shared the fruits of her labor with the community. Pat was also very active with Channel 27 and Indymedia. She will be missed. There will be a memorial service in November - time and place to be announced.
