Friends of Sabeel ABQ

Sabeel is a grassroots, international, interfaith peace movement founded by Christian Palestinians in Jerusalem. Sabeel is Arabic for “the way”. The vision is to create a just peace based on spiritual, moral, and legal principles.
We currently meet twice a month, the second and third Tuesdays. The second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM, our study group meets at the ABQ Center for Peace and Justice, 202 Harvard SE. The third Tuesday, we meet at 5:30 PM to view videos of the conference workshops. Typically this second meeting is at Greenbriar Complex, 1212 Nakomis NE.

We also sell Palestinian olive oil and crafts at local churches and other events.

We support local groups working for a justice based peace in Israel-Palestine in their work whenever possible, in collaboration with such groups as: the Coalition to Stop $30 Billion to Israel, UNM Students for Justice in Palestine, Jewish Voices for Peace ABQ and ANSWER. We are a member of the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice (PAJOLA, Peace and Justice Organizations Linking Arms) and Friends of Sabeel North America.
