About the ACPJ Archival Repository (1961-2005)

During the years 2004-2005, historical documents of the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice were indexed for inclusion in the archival section of UNM's Center for Southwest Research (UNM - Albuquerque). The indexing was performed by Maria Santelli (2003-2007 ACPJ co-coordinator) as part of fellowship received while working on her Masters degree in Community Planning.

The collection contains the records of the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice. It includes information on the history and structure of the organization and its work on issues including nuclear disarmament, nonviolence, and solidarity with Central America.

Discovering and Viewing the Contents of the ACPJ Archival Repository

To determine the contents of the repository in more detail, go to

http://rmoa.unm.edu/docviewer.php?docId=nmu1mss744bc.xml

to view "Inventory of the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice Records, 1961-2005". This Web page contains short descriptions and physical locations of material in the inventory.

To physically view an item in the inventory requires a visit to UNM's Center for Southwest Research (CSWR) which is located in Zimmerman Library on UNM's main campus in Albuquerque.

When you are at CSWR, ask for (and fill out) a "REQUEST FOR ARCHIVAL MATERIALS" form with location information from the "Inventory of the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice Records, 1961-2005" Web page (with aid from the staff as needed). The requested material will then be presented to you to examine. While viewing any and all items in the collection, please remember to HANDLE WITH CARE. Enjoy!
